My family traveled last minute to Milwaukee due to the loss of a family member. We needed a clean, reasonably price place to stay near the airport for everyone for several days. We chose the Marriott Courtyard and it was perfect. The building and rooms are all typical Courtyard. Nice, functional and clean, but not luxurious. Rose, the front desk person greeted us and listened as we explained our situation. She helped us choose the best rate plan for our needs and she helped us many times during our stay. She made us feel welcome. We spent a lot of time in the common areas due to our large group and there we met Jeremiah. His name tag said shuttle driver but he cleaned, greeted guests and smiled all the time. He made us feel at home. Haley served us many times in the cafe and she was as friendly and helpful as Rose and Jeremiah. Last, but not least, we met the general manager, Tony, who showed us why his team members were so customer focused… because he is. The service team at this location makes it a 5 star hotel. We will stay there when we go back next month and we highly recommend Tony and his team!
We booked this hotel through Park Sleep Fly. The room was very comfortable and quiet and the hotel is conveniently located near the airport. We were surprised that the hotel didn't provide breakfast although it was available through a lobby bistro. It was pricey, we thought, and less than stellar. The highlight of the stay, however, was shuttle driver Kurt. He picked us up at the airport the day after a big storm. He took us directly to our car AND cleaned about 3 inches of snow and ice off of our windshield. He definitely went above and beyond!
The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is kind of dated but still well maintained. I wish they could upgrade a few of their wall adapters to include usb ports. They no longer do daily housekeeping but it is fine for me. Other note: hotel provide free shuttle bus to and fro airport.
this hotel is very clean and quiet and the employees at the front desk are very polite and accommodating but with that said we were on the first floor behind the bistro and someone was smoking inside the building for quite some time and you could smell it in our room and the whole hallway outside and into the lobby, most likely it was from an employee inside the bistro area as we didn't have anyone in the room next to us, I brought this up to the woman at the front desk and explained that my wife has severe allergies and cigarette smoke aggravates her allergies to which she quickly moved us to another room but this should not have been an issue in the first place since its a non smoking hotel, we should never have had to be moved because of someone deciding to smoke indoors. they tried to tell me it was from the smoking section outside to which I showed them no one was out there since it was snowing. the bar bistro area also was not open much during our weekend stay which was a bummer.
Kurt the shuttle driver is a sweetheart! Took exception care of me during the Super Bowl and recommended a wonderful place to eat and watch the end of the game. All was great after a travel snafu! Thanks Kurt, Courtyard Marriott and American airlines. Gotta love wisconi!
