This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I called about checking in early plenty of times and when we got to the hotel we couldn’t even check in until 5:30 PM when our check-in was supposed to be at 4 PM. We had to change rooms multiple times because it was 90° and our AC didn’t work. There were at least five different times fire alarms went off in the middle of the night. The customer service representatives were very rude. They didn’t accommodate to us at all or didn’t offer us anything for the poor service. Very disappointed in how this hotel treated us.
Booked a room in March for July 7-9th. Thank goodness I double checked location to see check in time before the weekend. They are closed. Tried calling the number listed to figure it out. The call will not go through and just disconnects. There was no notification about the closure and no refund given. So I feel sorry for anyone who has booked and is going to show up to closed doors. It is beyond unacceptable service.
I'm usually a huge fan of Hampton Inns due to their relative affordability and usual high standards when it comes to cleanliness and maintenance. However, we are disappointed with the overall condition of the Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee Downtown. It's a shame, because this location a very convenient place to stay if you want to see a Bucks game as it's a short walk to Fiserv Forum, and there's an attached parking garage with reasonable rates. We have stayed here previously in one of their 2 Queen rooms and the room we had was fairly modern and clean, but on our most recent stay we decided to upgrade to a 1 bedroom 2 double bed suite, and the room was, to put it nicely, not great. It was in need of major renovation, the bathroom was subpar at best, with very weak water pressure and a toilet that barely flushed. The outlets on the nightstand didn't work, which is a big pain when you need to charge your devices overnight. At least the beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. As other guests have mentioned, one of the elevators were out, which didn't cause us much trouble, but it is a little inconvenient. The lobby and common areas are also showing a lot of wear. Our room wouldn't open using the Hilton Honors app digital key, but the front desk attendant was friendly and got us keys. I think next time we'll try one of the other properties in the Milwaukee Downtown area and give this place a pass, which is a shame because I almost exclusively stay at Hilton properties.
Do not stay at this hotel. I am shocked that this would be considered a Hilton hotel. We had a group of 8 families, and no one had a good experience. Broken windows, lots of rooms in our group were missing smoke detectors (as in the were pulled off of the ceiling) , TVs not working, lights not working, toilets not working. In general the hotel was not clean at all. We chose this hotel specifically for the pool that is advertised on their website, the pool is empty and we heard different stories from different employees as to why, including under construction, hasn’t been used since Covid. We should have read the reviews.
ZERO STARTS! ! ! Would have been nice for them to let me know that they are under construction! I didn't know until I went to check in the day of my trip. The security guard told me that they're under construction for a few years. How was I able to book a room through priceline LESS THAN 2 months ago!? Something needs to be done here!
