We booked the Hilton Garden Inn for our rehearsal dinner & wedding room block. Lauren was incredibly professional and easy to communicate with. She helped us every step of the way between picking our menu, choosing the layout for our event space and booking our room. They gave us lots of space to set up tables for our guests and additional room for our live music and guest activities. Guests rooms were easy to book, and they allowed us flexibility to leave goody bags for our guests at check-in. The food during our rehearsal dinner was delicious and the staff was kind and made sure we had everything we needed. The bar staff was also great in helping our guests with drinks during our dinner. The only negative, was that several of our guests had to wait for cleaning/inspection to be completed upon their arrival. Even so, the front desk staff had outstanding customer service and made us feel welcome! We will definitely recommend this hotel for any guests visiting us in the future!
Rooms could have been a little cleaner, but they were okay. If you walk around your room in your socks, they will be black on the bottom after an hour (which is kinda gross, but that is how I judge a hotel rooms cleanliness). Restaurant was surprisingly good with a pretty good draft beer selection with local brews. Service in the restaurant wad good. Location was awesome for me working with some local companies. Plenty of parking.
Business trip to Hartford, Wi. This hotel was chosen due to it's relative proximity to Hartford. Room was nice, having a restaurant on site proved to be valuable for a convenient meal. Grocery nearby was handy for some items that I failed to pack. Best feature of the entire stay was that the restaurant/bar had Spotted Cow on tap.
DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL!! We just got back from a soccer tournament and we had the worst experience at this hotel. When we got there and walked in the room it was sooo dirty and it had a smell. We had to get housekeeping up and wait for them to reclean everything. The housekeeper was shocked that they gave us the room in that condition. Floor not vacuumed, bathroom floor with hair, stains on the counters and the faucet in the shower wouldn’t stop dripping. Also the shower water pressure was sooo low. I had to go buy pillows and blankets because the bed was so bad. My digital key didn’t work and the front desk forgot to send someone up so I had to go down to the desk to get a key and towels because housekeeping didn’t get any after calling twice. Avoid this hotel if you can. HORRIBLE!
The other ratings must be from friends of employees. Aside from the convenience to the freeway there is not much this expensive hotel offers. It’s old and outdated. For the nightly rate they charge it’s disgusting. There was a huge stain on the old ratty carpet (pictured). The paint on the shower ceiling is peeling like sunburned skin (pictured). And the tv is incredibly old and small (pictured). No restaurants are within a short walk so you have to drive to get a decent meal (few options). The restaurant in the hotel is beyond basic. Look at the picture of the orange juice I ordered. Less than 8 hours and out of a box. Luckily the yogurt parfait was fine but that doesn’t require much effort. The only plus is that parking was plentiful.
