Older hotel that was well maintained. The room could see an upgrade and there was a faint hint of smoke in the smoke free room but otherwise no complaints. The food was excellent in the restaurant and all the staff were very courteous and professional. I plan on staying here again in the future when I am in town for business.
Stayed two nights for a wedding. Booked a king, whirlpool suite and it was awful. Whirlpool tub was extremely dated and failed after 15 min. It was also poorly retrofitted into an existing bathroom. Had to stand in the whirlpool to take a shower. Shower head was weirdly coming straight out of the ceiling. Would not stay again.
Positives: Friendly staff, trying their best Negatives: Facility is dated and in poor condition for the rate. For the money, we’d expect much better conditions. So we recommend another hotel if you’re paying $150+ FULL STORY We are longtime Hilton Honors members. Traveling with 3 little boys. We were confirmed two connected rooms. When we arrived they had no connected rooms. Now during our stay, the youngest will have alto share our bed. Sleepless nights make for miserable vacations. Add to this: - pool is closed for maintenance - no in-room safes (and there was a lady reporting theft of her purse when we arrived) - no menus in room for the on site restaurant - frayed carpeting - rocking toilet (as in broken mount at floor, not as in cool, Grandma’s chair, or even just a loose seat) - shower “stickers” to explain operation (that are backwards) - no “privacy please” sign in one room - outlets on desks were attached with adhesives that have long since faded - more minor issues I’m sure you can imagine how unhappy the kids are and what that means for our visit to Milwaukee. They comped us one night’s stay for one of our rooms. Unfortunately, that does not fix how unhappy our kids are and the impact on our stay. We know everyone is short staffed right now, but that doesn’t justify the rate and lack of communication.
Honestly the room was okay. Typical hotel room with slightly dated decor. Nothing really special but no complaints either. But mine and about seven other cars had gotten broken into my first night at the hotel. A lot of the parking lot can be quite dark at night time so it feels like an unsafe place to be during certain hours. Someone at the front desk said this wasn't the first time it's happened. I realize these things unfortunately do happen but my main reason for the low rating was the lack of response from the hotel. This is quite an annoying event to have to deal with on my part and a little sympathy from the hotel would have gone a long way.
Good location. Not the cleanest floors throughout the property. Laid back atmosphere. Friendly and professional night time desk clerk. Amazing beds to sleep in. Double check your reservations the day of to ensure they have your reservation. Call before you show up and confirm they have a room available. The customer service center stated "it's not surprising they overbooked." On one of the busiest weekends of the year, not great for the company. The Director of Sales Heather Ott and her co-worker Judy addressed our issue and corrected it. Jeff at the front desk was helpful as well and tried all he could to help us. I appreciate their promptness and getting things corrected.
