Decent room & bed, but not the best experience. Could've gotten far more for a lot less at a nearby hotel. Internet and TV didn't work during our stay. They wouldn't do anything to compensate for it. Breakfast cost extra... didn't understand the point of that. For as much as they charged every night, they could've easily compensated the stay with a complimentary breakfast. The bathtub also had an awfully slow drain so by the time you got 5minutes into a shower, it felt like you were taking a bath at the same time as the water would fill to be over your ankles. Never again...
Most of the front desk people absolutely need training! We had our room upgraded and then taken away. That’s fine if there was a reason. The one girl just stared at us like a deer in headlights. She got a guy in the back who maybe wanted to be nice but no more explanation from him than from her. We are at a reward status that entitled us to an upgrade. We have not gotten it anywhere so the reward system from IHG is really pretty bad. It was another front desk employee who upgraded our room. She had left for the day before our actual check in. But the WORST EMPLOYEE at the front desk…I called the desk to check to see if a package had arrived for my husband at his request as he was at work. He just needed verification that it was there for business reasons. She said she didn’t know but I could come down and check! Hahaha…she would check if I came down but she wouldn’t walk 5 steps to check otherwise. I asked again if she could just verify that it had arrived and she said no that she was busy. I would think that guest services would be in her job description. So…I went down within 2 minutes of the call and there she was on her personal phone and no one else in sight. Rude, mean people have no business in guest services. It took her all of 10 seconds to check that the package was there. We stay in hotels pretty much steady, moving from one job to the next. We almost always get packages and I’ve never had anyone at the front desk refuse to check. I’ve actually never had a front desk employee be rude. Hopefully they all work at this Holiday Inn because I’ll never be back or recommend it. Of all the hotels we stay in this is the FIRST bad review I’ve felt compelled to write. Guest services are really that bad there! Also the rooms are not very nice. This treatment was pretty much continual the nearly 3 weeks we were there. (Except for the first girl who upgraded our room…she was nice) Also…All the furniture in the rooms is banged up and missing parts. Shades missing from ceiling lights. Just not the nice place it is portrayed to be. The good part about the place is that housekeeping is excellent. Maintenance also. Friendly and helpful. They are the ones that should be at the front desk.
It had lots if space and the hotel seemed pretty new and was well-maintained, but there were some things that I thought were a nuisance. One of the TVs had no remote, and the other one only worked after fiddling with the remote to get a signal. We had to request sheets for the sofa bed. The door to the bathroom wouldn't open all the way because it hit the counter. Overall, it was a nice hotel.
This place is a 👍 great place to stay my experience was very good here and i would stay here again whenever I'm in the area.i will this 🏨 hotel a rating of 4 stars.
Room was in bad shape. Clean but needs repairs. Drawers didn't work, hair dryer pulled off the wall, smoke detectors down and on the counter. Wall base coming off. Just needs a good amount of tlc.
