Update: I really appreciated the management reaching out. Changing from 3 to 4 stars. Thank you.Okay, for the price this was good. Clean, good smells, excellent staff. Breakfast was pretty gross. Not the chef's fault at all..the eggs are fake and bacon likely just microwaved. Not really edible unless you like spongey gross "eggs." We tipped our sweet server who also happened to be the cook, the same amount as the bill. She was great. Our shuttle driver was really nice. The room was a bit tired with peeling wallpaper, but again, it was clean and beds comfortable. You get what you pay for.
Rooms are not very sound proof. You can hear someone sneeze or cough in the next room. Stained carpet in the halls. Don’t take the stairs because it smells really bad. Saturday day morning 6/11/2022 I discovered after my shower the hairdryer did not work. I called guess services and front desk and no one answered. I walked down to the front desk and I was told they had no other hairdryers. I suggested maybe get one from an unoccupied room and I was told no. I reported to the front desk when I checked out Sunday that there wasn’t a hairdryer in the room and I better not be charged for it because I left it at the front desk. The manager was shocked and said I needed to talk to and manager. I thought I did because she had a nice dress shirt on. There was a crew of three at the desk Saturday and one was there Sunday and was quick to throw her co-worker under the bus but she was the one that told me they had no hairdryers it was to bad. Don’t get the breakfast buffet for $10 it’s nothing more then a continental breakfast you get free at other hotels with less food. The pool and hot tub was very nice and so was the Maintenance guy.
Absolutely terrible experience. I stayed here for a week-long work trip, so I don’t really expect a luxury experience from a hotel for that. It’s not vacation; I just needed a clean room and bed to stay in each night, with maybe some coffee for the morning. Apparently that is too much to ask! Our room was not cleaned after multiple nights; and after the third night I asked why. I was told that we had to specifically request it to be cleaned. Fair enough; so I spoke to the front desk in the morning and requested that it be cleaned. They made a note of it in front of me, and I went to work. However, when I returned, the room had once again not been cleaned. When I called to speak to the front desk and ask why, they claimed that there was no record of any requests to clean it! I was also told that housekeeping could not clean it that evening because they had already left for the day, which was a blatant lie since I could see them working in the other hallways. I had to request additional basic supplies such as towels, toilet paper, soap, and coffee, because we naturally ran out of the ones in the room that are really only meant to last for a short stay. In addition to all this, the hallways are in pretty terrible condition, with massive stains everywhere and a definite musty/moldy smell that hangs in the air. That, along with the fact that there’s basically no amenities or effort put in to maintaining hospitality, this place is barely a step above a roach motel. (Thankfully, they did not have any roaches!) All in all, while I didn’t have high expectations for this Holiday Inn, I definitely expected to at least receive the bare minimum of effort in having a clean room and enough supplies. That didn’t happen, and honestly I wouldn’t recommend that anyone else use this hotel for anything longer than a one or two night stay.
Booked the room as part of sleep park fly. My reservation was not in their system. Also couldn't get receipt from them, even though they charged me an additional $50. I did get a receipt from the shuttle driver but that didn't include the $50 charge from the hotel. Hotel itself was comfortable and quiet.
Watch your receipts I did Park sleep fly and they put a hold on my credit card for a $30 higher rate than I was quoted and $50 incidentals. When I questioned the incidentals they said oh that was because of towels or anything I might choose to take and they would not compensate me for the fact that they gave me a coupon for ordering $12 worth of appetizers and getting a free drink but when I tried to use it at the bar the girl told me she did not have anybody for food that night not even a pizza or cheese curds. She told me I could go to the Culver's next door. The drinks were strong but that's not what I wanted I needed to relax a little bit. Question my bill the next morning when I left and it was still $30 higher than it should have been, they tried to charge me $169 plus tax and incidentals but I have paying $139 rate that I booked directly on their website of Parksleepfly.com.
