James at the front desk and Aloha in the bar. Those 2 reasons are enough to make it excellent! Room was nice. Food was good everything else good..BUT, when companies start to realize more that it's the people that work these establishments that make the difference, maybe more people will be rewarded in the service industry. TAKE CARE OF THE PEOPLE THAT TAKE CARE OF US!
Booked the room as part of sleep park fly. My reservation was not in their system. Also couldn't get receipt from them, even though they charged me an additional $50. I did get a receipt from the shuttle driver but that didn't include the $50 charge from the hotel. Hotel itself was comfortable and quiet.
The doors in this place are incredibly heavy and every single time someone walks into their room, it shakes the rooms next to it. I asked for a quiet room due to PTSD and of course I was put right between 2 rooms that constantly went in and out. If you are here for business, go elsewhere! The rooms themselves aren't too bad, the beds are comfy. I have never been in a room that I can't turn the fan on, but this one, nope! I would avoid this and go to another hotel if I were you.
My window was leaking during a storm. They put towels down to capture the water and reduce the dripping water sound since there were no available rooms to switch to, cool. I can live with that. Then, the shower gel was empty. I called the front desk to get some. I waited 20 minutes before going to the front desk. They only had a bar of soap to give me. No one ever came to my room with shower gel. I didn't say which room I was in and the person that answered the phone was a female, the person at the desk when I went was male. They didn't notate anything as when I checked out I was expecting a sorry about the window or something. I just got "you're all set, thanks for staying with us". Disappointed.
Update: I really appreciated the management reaching out. Changing from 3 to 4 stars. Thank you.Okay, for the price this was good. Clean, good smells, excellent staff. Breakfast was pretty gross. Not the chef's fault at all..the eggs are fake and bacon likely just microwaved. Not really edible unless you like spongey gross "eggs." We tipped our sweet server who also happened to be the cook, the same amount as the bill. She was great. Our shuttle driver was really nice. The room was a bit tired with peeling wallpaper, but again, it was clean and beds comfortable. You get what you pay for.
