The room was nice, the breakfast was pretty bad. Like many places, not enough staff. The front desk was friendly, and it is a popular hotel, but going through some changes. Hopefully, they can get to a better place with service. I asked if I could check in at 2pm. as I was attending a celebration of life, and they said it was "arrival dependent." My siblings stayed elsewhere, and I think they had better service. They both checked in earlier. The location was good for me, but I think the best Western and Hilton garden suites have them beat.
Last week we stayed for three nights at this Holiday Inn—a place we have patronized numerous times in the past. While the location is great, the service was very poor. Our room was not cleaned at all during our stay, and there was no written information to explain the cleaning schedule. While we did not expect changes of sheets, beds were never made, waste baskets emptied, nor more towels brought to us. When we asked at the desk for more towels, we received them, but there was no apology or assurance that the room would be cleaned the next morning. We saw cleaning crews in our corridor, but we were not among the chosen, apparently. The breakfast—which is not included in the room price—is of sub-standard quality. Any Holiday Inn Express that offers a free breakfast has higher quality food. When we asked to order off the menu, we were told that because the hotel was very busy with baseball travel teams and others, no additional cooking was being done. There was no television station list in the room and when asked for one, the front staff had to really search extensively to find one. Both televisions in the room turned on simultaneously when only one was targeted. While the premises are a bit worn, the fact that it is being spruced up is a positive note. We felt genuine regret that we were leaving no gratuity for the cleaning staff, but the presumed directive of the management to clean only rooms of departing guests must surely cut into the income of the staff.
The place smells like vomit and curry, the shower in my room doesn't work and the tun doesn't drain fast enough for the trickle it has. The faucet runs while the shower barely spittles. The windows only open an inch and there is no complimentary breakfast for anyone, amd they only have coke products. One of the doors to get in wont unlock or open be a use the door handle has been all but removed from the door.
Little disappointed. Property same dated. My room door was busted. You had to lift it up in order to close it. I Informed the front door but no action was taken. I insisted to leave a note for maintenance. I am surprised how housekeeping didn't notice such a problem with the room door.
The hallways are stained and dirty, rooms smled musty and like theybwere once smoking rooms, wallpaper is peeling off the walls. We had to request sheets and blankets for our pull out, they weren't stocked. Our room for 4 had 2 towels. Breakfast is not included and was a restaurant, this is outdatedans they could not keep up. This hotel is not staffed for a restaurant. There were maybe 2 people working, a director was clearly in there as well but did not assist in helping his staff serve or cook or fill drinks. He actually avoided the guests by not making any eye contact at all. It took 30 mins to get coffee. Over an hour for our food and came put in a very odd order. The poor girls working were clearly not supported.
