It had been many years since I ate here. Our server told us he was very new & to be patient, understandable. I asked for sauce on the side for my chicken parm, as you see, that didn't happen. But I'm not one to complain. On the menu, the claim is Papa Luigi's but I can tell you from experience and my love for Luigi's - it didn't come close. Salad was meh. The rest was good. No paper towels in the bathroom & surprisingly a staff member did come in there but didn't put any in. Prices are reasonable. Odd thing, server asked multiple times if we were paying with cash or card, still baffled as to why. Unsure if it was because of the fee involved but I'm sure that's a press of a button. I understand the server was new, but it was an uncomfortable experience nonetheless.
This restaurant will forever hold a place in my heart as it was the location of my wedding. The banquet hall space was fairly spacious, and the serving staff in charge of assisting us during our event were beyond helpful and accommodating, to say the least. Anything we needed, they accounted for, even going so far as to help with adjustments made by the family that were very last minute. All things considered, I had been very anxious that day, and they helped to keep my mind at ease when things didn't go quite how we intended. The atmosphere of the restaurant is what you'd expect from a family style place, and though it isn't fancy, it isn't trying to be. Overall, we enjoyed the space we had, and the staff went above and beyond. The food was fairly decent as well. You definitely get what you pay for, and to be fair, what else can you ask for. They accommodated us fairly last minute and were able to deliver quality service even within that time. I would definitely hold events here in the future.
I booked a luncheon for after a funeral. I spoke to David who helped me to set this up. Once at the restaurant Vicky F. worked with me to let her know when I believed all guests had arrived. Food was served family style and all very delicious. We did have a guest that is gluten free and they were able to accommodate. Vicky was very attentive and helpful during our luncheon.
I took my mom here for an early Mother's Day meal. We shared a couple of big pretzels that were amazing. Next up was some wonderful chicken kluski 🍲 soup. Delicious 😋. The waitress was exceptional 😜... friendly, efficient, and one of the better servers I've encountered. You can tell she'd been working here for a while. This is a banquet hall, and I remember coming here for my father-in-law's father's funeral...so it can serve a large group if necessary. On this day, however, I enjoyed some polish sausage and coke slaw. Mom had the steak 🥩 sandwich 🥪, which by the looks of it made me a bit envious. Next time. I loved my lunch, but I definitely want to have some of that steak sandwich 🥪 myself. Outstanding stop for lunch at reasonable prices with a friendly and semi -elegant atmosphere with Milwaukee written all over it. Ahhh...the Cream City! Go Bucks!!!
The Broasted chicken is definitely some of the best in Milwaukee. Pretty sizable drink menu too
