An absolute $#!t show! We had a reservation guaranteed with credit card, for two nights, a Saturday and Sunday night. When we arrived, they had no rooms available. To make matters worse, Sondra had called us to make sure we were going to be using our reservation, and we said yes. There were seven other couples waiting to check in that had reservations as well. We were told that the hotel was overbooked and there were no rooms available. The lady said they do this because usually all the guests don't show up! The staff would disappear into the back office for 10 to 15 minutes and come out without a solution, help or advice. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told they would not be in the office until Monday at 11 am. This was Saturday at 10:30 pm. We asked the staff about our reservation for Sunday night and they could not guarantee it. We were told that we would have to check back on Sunday at 4 pm. We had tickets for a concert that began at 4 pm on Sunday and we could not make it back to check in. That was why we reserved Saturday AND Sunday! We had a fun weeked planned and our reservation was made at least six months prior. We had to take matters into our own hands and make a different reservation, which cost us more money, due to the concert and short notice. We have traveled for years and have NEVER had this experience! Very unprofessional!
Horrible... some staff were great... Management was very rude. I made a reservation but according to the management a reservation does not mean that you hold a room... really it doesn't mean anything because they will still give it away if someone comes in before you. That being said, the only room available was an upgraded room to a "king balcony suite." Which was just a king bed and had nothing "suite like" about it except for the extra $100 cost... I won't be returning... even if I wanted to I need a hotel that will actually keep my reservation I won't be sleeping in my car because they don't know what the word reservation means...
We stayed over on a Saturday night. The main doors are very awkward and hard to pull/push. The front desk took a long time to acknowledge us waiting to check in. There was no mention to us that the electricity had been out 2 nights prior and that there remained to be issues with multiple areas of the hotel... only one elevator was functioning for all floors ( at least 8 or 9 floor building) and it was very slow moving. the main areas of the hotel had no air conditioning- weather was in the 80's making it next to miserable. The restaurant was still out of order due to no electricity (and that was the main reason for us selecting this hotel was the restaurant on main level)... the bar was still open, but very hot to enjoy. The room itself was ok- outdated but had air conditioning somehow. there was A OT of construction everywhere around this hotel... no mention of any of this when we booked only 2 nights prior. I would not stay here again.
The facility looks beautiful walking in but the rooms are fairly outdated. When we got to the room, the room was not clean. Looked like someone just woke up and left. When I called to let front desk know, they acted like I was lying and sent someone else to “check” because the room “should be clean”. I’m not sure why they would think I would lie. And the front desk reps were very snotty and rolled their eyes at me and other guests. The pool was not the best. It was so cloudy that you couldn’t even seen your own feet in the pool. And I’m glad we brought our own towels because they did not restock them. Other guests had rented rooms and were denied the amount of rooms reserved and ended up taking the cushions from the front lobby and using those to sleep on in their rooms. It was overall very distasteful. I would definitely reconsider staying here if you can get another local hotel.
@Negative Nancy K, that was probably our group that you are talking about in your review there, so hi. We were aware that there was a bar there, but we did not feel like spending $4+ per drink, especially with the fact that we had a big group of people (so 20 people). It was nice outside and we were up there for a tournament so we tailgated when we got back. We were not bothering anybody, but apparently you. We had permission to be out there since there was no lounging areas that would accommodate our big group. Sorry you didn’t have a good time but we did. :) As for the hotel stay, the room was clean, the housekeepers and desk workers were friendly. The only issues we had were that the front doors weren’t working the best and our A/C was also not working that great. We had a great time visiting Milwaukee. Thank you for allowing us to hang out in the parking lot since there was no lounging area, especially for our big group.
