1/5 stars on the better business bureau. Wish I had looked there first. Not sure who would give this firm such glowing reviews. Feels like we were robbed. There was NO communication or real work done in my boyfriend’s case. We left them for another firm who in a matter of DAYS immediately got things going after wasting $8k with sterling and them not even covering us until the pre trial!! I would RUN from this company. Especially when the first lawyer, Michelle, quit after doing no work on our case and they offered no help or refund on our wasted time. Instead we got a new lawyer assigned to our case and who continued to do next to nothing and barely replied to messages. Take your money anywhere else. I’ve never had such a poor, but expensive experience with an attorney’s office.
I am being represented by Austin Miller for a post divorce action. I feel extremely safe with Austin. No other attorney has made me feel this safe and secure with my case. The fees are very fair and staff is very professional and courteous. I am a former legal secretary by trade and i highly recommend this law firm. I need to update my review to say they need to do something different. They utilize an answering service rather than a receptionist and it makes communication incredibly difficult and hair raising. It's very difficult reaching anyone from the office.
I have never been divorced before and do not plan on doing it again. My lawyer Michele made the whole process so easy and painless. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
So many glowing reviews! It wasn't for me. I don't know what happened, but there was very little communication, few answers, late stuff, ignored requests, false promises, no mention of pre-divorce maintenance (sure could've used that!) until I had to go elsewhere. I am extremely happy I left as my new attorney has done in a month what wasn't in 5 at Sterling and 1/5 the cost. I have been labeled a problem customer, yet no one will talk to me about what (didn't) happen. I was told by the COE that they have 1000s of happy customers. Good for them, but I wasn't one of them, and they don't care to know why. This is a clip from the email I got. "I am not interested in talking to you to hear you vent and complain" The following response from Sterling is a cut and paste. They use the same one over and over on various sites, or a minor change. They don't really mean it.
Attorney Gatterman did a great job of addressing my needs, and how we could achieve those. She answered all my questions promptly and able to get everything done virtually w/o having to meet each time. Only communication issues were with paralegals not always getting the messages to her. But overall they did great, we achieved the outcome we wanted without going to court.
